As we can see from the spy photos, Porsche is hard at work (or at play?) on and around the Nürburgring in the newest iteration of the 911 GT2.
Based on the 911 Turbo, the GT2 will feature the same turbocharged flat-six engine. No word on power numbers, but the 3.8-liter six makes 500 horsepower in the Turbo model, so the GT2 will not be lacking in the speed department.
As is generally the case with track-focused 911s, lightness is the ultimate goal, so don’t expect the all-wheel drive from the Turbo model to be available on the GT2.
