Spy Shots: Next-Gen Hyundai Azera Begins Testing

News I By John Beltz Snyder I February 08, 2010

The next-generation Hyundai Azera is in winter testing, giving our spy shooter an opportunity to catch the new prototype in action.

The Azera splits the Hyundai lineup, right between the new Sonata, and the big brother Genesis. This looks just a bit more aggressive than the current model, with exterior lines becoming more swoopy and horizontal.
Two V-6 engines will be available to power the new Azera, which should become available in 2012.
Check it out in the gallery, or see what the photographer has to say, below.

We managed to shoot some spy photos of the next generation Hyundai Grandeur/Azera during its first winter test. The current version just got a facelift and this is also the new full redesigned model aimed to hit the market in 2012. Even if still wearing heavy camouflage, it looks like the new generation will look more elegant, aggressive and forward then the current version.

It’s expected to be powered by six-cylinder engines and will slot in between the Sonata and Genesis in the model line-up.
