Spy Shots: BMW 6-Series Softtop Caught Again

News I By John Beltz Snyder I February 11, 2010
Last time we spotted the BMW 6-Series convertible, it wasn’t sporting the same head- and taillights. Now, here it is in winter testing, and we can get a better look at some of the features BMW either hid, or didn’t have on the last prototype.

The new 6 will share engines with the 7-Series, except for the 7’s V-12 engine. For the M6, it will run the same biturbo V-8 that’s been popping up in other Ms, instead of the V-10 that used to power the M-badged 6.

Have a look at the new 6-Series ‘vert spy shots in the gallery, or click back to the last sighting for more information. The photographer’s comments follow.

Here are the most revealing spyphotos of the upcoming BMW 6 series convertible so far. For the first time we are seeing the front kidney grill outlines and outlines of the headlights and tail lights.
