Apparently the weather was nice in Munich, because we have fresh spy shots of the next BMW 6-Series with the top down. The swirly BMW camouflage does a good job, as usual, of obscuring the majority of the new 6er’s body details, but a few things can be observed from our photos.
A narrower twin-kidney grille, along with slightly upswept headlights will bring the new model in line with the current BMW design language, evidenced by the new F10 5-Series, and the Concept Gran Coupé.
In back, things are a bit harder to discern. The taillights look to lose the triangular design of the current model, and are replaced with units that look similar to the Gran Coupé. The units on the spy shots look to be LEDs.
Engine options are still unknown, but it’s safe to say that the 4.4-liter, biturbocharged V-8 from the 750i will be the standard engine.
