Rumors: Auto Show—The Lamborghini Aventador J
Imagine you’re 15 years old again and you catch a glimpse of the Lamborghini Aventador for the first time—It would have the same life changing impact as, well, an adult seeing the car for the first time, actually. Its uncompromising styling, colossal horsepower, and outrageous performance make it the king of all bedroom wall posters, regardless of your age.
Now, Lamborghini has gone and made this, the Aventador J. First shown on AutoForum and making its live debut at the Geneva Motor Show in just a few days time, the J is more than a convertible Aventador—it doesn’t actually have a roof at all, or a windshield, or a range of interior comforts that come on the standard car. Power output from the 6.5-liter V-12 remains the same as the coupe, and its striking design is reminiscent of the twin-cockpit Gallardo Concept S from a few years back.
There were persistent rumors of Lamborghini bringing two new models to the Geneva show and it looks like the recently revealed MLC SUV will be one of them, and the Aventador J will be the other. No definitive word yet on price or availability of the Avendator J, but AutoForum reports that this isn’t just a prototype but an ultra-exclusive model in the same vein as the Lamborghini Reventon. We’ll likely have a clear picture of all the specific details after Geneva.
