Rumors: Auto Show—Ferrari’s 599 Successor Gets A Name

It’s not often that Ferrari releases a new car but when they do, it’s always something special. The 599 GTB Fiorano, the company’s long distance GT car that’s been on the road since 2006, is due for a replacement and we finally know what the new car’s name will be—the F620.

According to AutoBild, the F620 is due to bow at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show and will use a variation of the V-12 engine found in the Ferrari FF, and should develop around 700 horsepower. That colossal horsepower will motivate a chassis and body that will likely contain a high level of aluminum and carbon fiber, so acceleration and top speed figures should be properly outrageous. It’s also likely that a variation of Ferrari’s dual-clutch gearbox, like the one in the 458 Italia, will be used in the F620.

These spy shots don’t reveal much of the car’s exterior, but expect styling to pull cues from both the 458 and the FF.
