Rumors: Auto Show—Aston Martin V12 Zagato

Perhaps it’s appropriate that the Kuwait Concours d’Elegance will reportedly be the location for the official reveal of the V12 Zagato, the latest vehicle from the partnership between Aston Martin and famed design firm, Zagato. According to GTspirit, this long-awaited collaboration will fetch around 330,000 Euros—something like $430,000—a princely sum that, well, Middle Eastern princes shouldn’t have a problem forking over.

The car pictured here is the road-going version—two race-only V12 Zagatos ran in several endurance races in 2011 including the Nurburgring 24-Hour where they finished a very respectable fifth and sixth in class. The V12 Zagato will feature a plush and luxurious interior, predictably lined with veritable acres of leather, and plenty of exterior aerodynamic elements to improve performance. Under the slotted hood sits a 6.0-liter V-12 that produces 510 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, and should produce acceleration figures similar to that of the standard V12 Vantage on which the car is based.

With a production run of just 150 cars, the V12 Zagato is sure to carry on the Zagato legacy of rarity and desirability.
