With the death of Saab still fresh on our minds, a new report states that General Motors might make use of the newly finished 2010 9-5 sedan by rebadging it as a Buick, to better expand that marque’s lineup.
According to Saabs United, an insider source at Saab says that GM would like to use Saab’s technology, tools, and production equipment to better build the Buick brand in the United States. On top of that, the 9-5 could be repurposed as a new premium car for Opel in Europe.
On one hand, we’re happy to hear that the sexy new 9-5 might live on, but we’re still sad to know that it won’t wear a proper Saab badge.
