Gran Turismo 6 Box Art, Release Date Leaked

News I By Brandon Turkus I May 02, 2013
UPDATE: It’s official, Gran Turismo 6 will be out before the end of the year. Check out our recap of GT6, along with the first, official trailer.

Gran Turismo 5 had what felt like a ten-year gestation. In reality, it was only about half that long, arriving in 2010, five years after GT4. It appears, if information from Italian retailer Multiplayer.com is correct, that we won’t need to wait nearly as long for Gran Turismo 6.

According to the site, which has since pulled its information down, GT6 will be released on November 28, 2013. Now, you should take this with a very large grain of salt. GT5 was delayed a few different times, making the rounds at a pair of E3 conferences (2009 and 2010) before finally arriving on store shelves. We’re finding it hard to believe that, after its past, Polyphony Digital will be able to show GT6 for the first time at E3 in June and then get it on store shelves in time for the holidays. We hope we’re wrong.

Along with the announcement was our first look at Gran Turismo 6’s box art. Not surprisingly, it’s a Playstation-specific title. What is surprising is that GT6 will be available on the Playstation 3, at least at first. We’ll be following this story over the next few months, so stay tuned.
