Frankfurt 2011: Fisker Surf
Ahead of its debut in Frankfurt on Tuesday, Fisker, maker of the
Karma range-extended electric vehicle, has announced that it will be revealing the Fisker Surf.
What exactly the Fisker Surf is going to be is unclear, as Fisker is keeping the lid tightly sealed on this one. From the teaser image, we can deduce that it won’t follow the same four-door-sedan body style as the beautiful Karma; in fact, it may even feature a hatchback or shooting-brake form.
Fisker’s press release also gives a couple of clues. We know the Surf will be another range-extended EV, and that it will feature, as Fisker says (capitalized, too!), “Uncompromised Responsible Luxury.” It should also appeal to those with an active lifestyle, which suggest some form of functionality.
The rest of the details will all be revealed at the official debut on Tuesday, September 13, but you can read on for the press release, below.
Anaheim, CA – September 7, 2011: Fisker Automotive will pull the wraps off the stunning new Fisker Surf at 10.30 am CET on Tuesday September 13th during the first media day of the Frankfurt Auto Show (Hall 5 Stand B01).
Focusing on the company’s philosophy of delivering Pure Driving Passion the new Fisker Surf is an electric vehicle with extended range (EVer) much like its stable mate the stylish Fisker Karma four door luxury sedan.
But the Fisker Surf delivers a bold new twist and is sure to ‘wow’ global audiences with its combination of Uncompromised Responsible Luxury and head-turning design.
Fisker is keeping details secret until September 13th, but the Surf is sure to be one of Frankfurt’s ‘show stoppers’ – with real appeal for those with an active lifestyle.
