Forza Motorsport 5 Will Launch With XBox One

Today, we’re following the launch of the new XBox One, the successor to today’s XBox 360. Although there hasn’t been a mention of when the new console will go on sale, we have some exciting news to share with fans of racing games, and in particular, the Forza Motorsports series—Forza Motorsports 5 will launch with the new XBox One.

 

Details are still scarce at this early stage, but according to Kotaku’s Stephen Totilo, environmental factors like time of day and weather will have an impact on the racing. Turn 10 Studios will continue on as the game’s developer. The trailer, a pre-recorded item that just went up on XBox’s YouTube channel, delivers a bold promise of what the new Forza and XBox will deliver, showing a new McLaren P1 dueling with a McLaren F1, while an announcer delivers play-by-blay. The detail of the cars, track, and scenery looks amazing, with visible orange peel in the paint, clag bouncing out from behind the tires, shining carbon fiber, and beautiful vistas.
