Naturally aspirated V12, 715hp, four seats – an SUV is not what you would think of when hearing these things. Ferrari has revealed the Purosangue; it’s first SUV, and we love it. Admittedly, it does look a bit similar to the GTC4Lusso, but it has four doors (rears are suicide – awesome), and looks to have quite a bump in ride height.
The specs of the V12 sound incredible, at 6.5 liters & 715hp, the V12 will scream at it’s 8,250 rpm redline. Ferrari claims a 0-60 sprint in under 3.3 seconds.
In addition to the V-12 soundtrack, when cruising the Purosangue features audio by Burmester, one of the highest of high-end audio brands. Particularly noteworthy are the high and low frequency ranges, where new technology is on offer: ribbon tweeters, which are being used for the first ever time in a production vehicle, as well as the subwoofer with user-controlled settings. Unique to Burmester in the automotive market is the use of hybrid amplification. Analog amplification and filters for the high and mid-range are combined with digital amplification in the low range – for a warm, natural, detailed but nonetheless powerful sound. So-called ultra-flat speakers are then used in the surround areas. Due to their very low installation depth, these allow optimal positioning to enable an authentic spatial sound experience.
