Drennan Selected For MX-5 Cup Global Invitational

This past weekend, Winding Road Team TFB driver Mark Drennan was selected for the Global Invitational MX-5 Cup race weekend to be held September 9-11 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Nineteen drivers from eight countries will compete for the title of Global Champion in MX-5 Cup racing. Drennan has won two of the eight races in the U.S. series so far, the most of any of the invitees. "I’m thrilled to be competing against many of the best MX-5 Cup drivers in the world. Mazda Global MX-5 Cup has proven to have some of the closest competition in road racing and I expect that to continue in the Global Invitational," said Drennan. Drennan will run his familiar WindingRoadRacing.com #50 MX-5 Cup car and Winding Road Team TFB will provide race engineering services for Drennan at the Global Invitational.

 

 

After the Global Invitational, Drennan heads for the final rounds (11 and 12) of the Mazda Global MX-5 Cup season at Road Atlanta, as part of the Petit Le Mans weekend.
