Chevrolet Releases Pricing On 2014 Corvette Stingray

News I By Brandon Turkus I April 26, 2013
Almost as delicate as the striptease that preceded the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray‘s debut before the North American International Auto Show in January, is the release of details on the new car. We showed you the full option sheet last week, which had all sort of valuable information. What we couldn’t show you, at the time, was the kind of damage that option sheet would do to your pocketbook.

Well, it turns out we still can’t tell you that, really. Chevrolet has released the initial pricing on the C7 Vette, giving the coupe a starting price of $51,995. Dropping the top will tack on an extra $5000. That number includes the five-position drive mode selector, a seven-speed manual transmission, a 6.2-liter V-8, HID headlights, Chevrolet’s MyLink system with an included backup camera, Bose stereo, and keyless access with push-button start.

Chevy has also released information on what it thinks will be some of the more popular options.

  • —3LT Interior Package (10-speaker Bose stereo, satellite/HD radio, head-up display, navigation, heated and vented seats, Napa leather) will cost $8005.
  • —Z51 Performance Package (high-performance gear ratios, additional cooling, 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, slotted brake rotors, electronic limited-slip differential) will cost $2800.
  • —The Competition sport seats will retail for $2495.
  • —Magnetic Ride Control with the Performance Traction Management system will be $1795.
  • —Carbon-fiber interior trim will be $995.

There’s more information in the press release below. Once there’s a configurator live, with all the options and pricing, we’ll have a Base Versus Loaded put together. Check back soon.
