Video: WRC Rally Mexico Preview

Features I By Brandon Turkus I March 07, 2013
Today marks the start of the third round of the 2013 World Rally Championship, with the WRC parade making its way south of the border for Rally Mexico.
While we don’t cover a great deal of rallying at Winding Road, Rally Mexico is usually an exception, due to the uniqueness of one of its super special stages.
Running through the historic city of Guanajuato, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the drivers need to navigate along tight, bumpy cobblestone streets. As if that’s not harrowing enough, part of the stage takes place in the silver mines found under the city. Oh, and this stage is run at night. Yeah, it’s intense.
Take a look at this video preview of the 2013 Rally Mexico. Running of the super special stage in Guanajuato starts tomorrow evening, and will be run on Saturday and Sunday night as well. It’s truly one of the must-see events on the WRC calendar.
