Video: Driving A 430-Horsepower Subaru BRZ

Features I By John Beltz Snyder I May 13, 2013
We love the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S. We enjoy a 200-horsepower, rear-drive car that can mix it up on back roads or at the track, with the sense that you could never really do anything to overpower it. We like the challenge of wringing every last drop of power out of its 2.0-liter flat-four.

Now, what happens when you throw sanity out the window, and tune a BRZ up to 430 horsepower?

This video from Drive features a Subaru BRZ tuned into some sort of monster by Crawford Performance. With a new engine, turbocharger, and the proper tuning throughout the vehicle to make it withstand the new power, it sounds amazing, and performs accordingly.

And, of course, you have to drive this bad boy with a lot more care if you don’t want it to kill you.

See how it handles all the new juice in the video below.
