The Spec Miata Of Karting?

We were recently at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a Battery Tender Global MX-5 Cup event. That race was held on the road course, which you've probably seen used for the Grand Prix of Indianapolis IndyCar race. The race was pretty tight, with last lap, last corner passing for the win and such. A reminder that spec racing often leads to close competition if the car count is high enough.

Here is a video from an Ignite Series LO 206 kart race held at IMS. It uses a special kart course about 1 mile long:

What we found interesting is that the Ignite Series is pretty much a full spec series which is unusual in karting. Take a look and see what you think:
