The Glorious Genesis X Convertible Concept

Cars, Features I By Justin Cornelison I November 17, 2022

Genesis has unveiled its stunning Genesis X Convertible concept at a special event in California. The four-seater convertible joins the X Concept and X Speedium Coupe (which we showcased back in August) to complete a trio of bold design studies that showcase the brand’s commitment to sustainable luxury and cutting-edge electric vehicle technology.

Sharing its advanced architecture and state-of-the-art electric powertrain with the 2021 X Concept and X Speedium Coupe concept, the Genesis X Convertible represents the latest evolution of the brand’s trademark Athletic Elegance design language, as well giving another glimpse at the exciting look of future Genesis electric vehicles.

Featuring a unique folding hardtop roof that houses individual glass panels above the front occupants, the Genesis X Convertible offers a heightened sensory experience thanks to the open roof, providing driver and passengers a direct connection with their surrounding environment.

With its long bonnet, short front overhang and long wheelbase, the Genesis X Convertible features the brand’s unmistakable Athletic Elegance design proportions. Also familiar is the bold Parabolic Line that both accentuates the car’s strong profile, while the muscular blisters around the wheels form a classic ‘Coke bottle’ shape when viewed from above.
