Spotlight: 1967 Ford GT40 MK IV

Famed collector Wayne Carini (“Chasing Classic Cars”) recently added a very special offering to Mecum’s upcoming Kissimmee Sale – a 1967 Ford GT40 MK IV (Chassis J-10). The GT40 will join as many as 4,000 cars, trucks, and motorcycles headed for the auction block at Osceola Heritage Park, Jan. 4-15.

Here are a few highlights, with a couple photos below:

  • 1 of 12 GT40 Mk IV models produced
  • Chassis no. J-10
  • Driven in Can-Am competition by Peter Revson, Jack Brabham, George Follmer, David Hobbs and Vic Elford
  • Meticulous 4-year restoration completed in 2017
  • Three owner car
  • 1967 Le Mans specifications
