In this Tip, Ross points our that fitness is important to driving. The problem for many drivers is that they can drive the car without being very fit. But, there are several questions missed in this view. First, can you perform as well as possible at a mediocre level of fitness? Second, given that racing is too expensive to be done very often by most drivers, is fitness training something that gives you many more opportunities to practice hand/eye/brain work? And third, is fitness training a way to extend your driving career into your 60’s, 70’s and 80’s in a more enjoyable way?
