We pretty much can't stop looking at this poster of many well-known road racing tracks drawn to scale and placed together on one page. We're probably losing our minds, but we recommend taking a look. We think you'll see some interesting things. And it is a guaranteed productivity killer.
One thing that jumps out is how big some of the really big tracks are. Of course Le Mans and the Nurburgring are big. But take a look at Pike's Peak and AVUS. Then, forget all that, because the Isle Of Man (Snaefell Mountain Course) encircles them all!
The other thing we noticed is that some boring-looking track layouts are great to race. Look at Mount Panorama, for example. Or Mosport. Or Road Atlanta. Of course, track maps don't show elevation changes, blind corners or runoff.
