Captured: Tauro V8 Spider

Here’s another intriguing Spanish sports car, the Tauro V8 Spider. Take get a good, look, because with only 30 examples built worldwide, you very well may never see one in person.

 

Powered by a GM 6.2-liter LS3 V-8 up front, it produces about 440 horsepower and 432 pound-feet of torque. Engine upgrades, though, can boost that up to 529 horsepower and 489 pound-feet of torque. Considering the Tauro V8 Spider is built on a Pontiac Solstice chassis, that’s a lot of power for this little ‘vert.

 

While the Spania GTA Spano is definitely more exotic, and the Aspid GT-21 Invictus is far more imposing, there’s something compelling about the American machismo with a Spanish twist on offer with the Tauro V8 Spider.
