Honda Hydrogen-Powered Commercial
Now this commercial isn’t exactly the object of clarity, but it is engaging. This Honda advertisement highlights facing the problem of eco-friendly vehicles – oh, and of course Honda’s hydrogen-powered FCX.
The commercial features Mark Mothersbaugh's exuberant ditty from the Life Aquatic soundtrack. Yet, the add features little about the actual car – or a real FCX for that matter. Either way, enjoy.

I'm sorry, but hydrogen is NOT zero-emissions. Yes, it's essentially zero emissions measured at the tailpipe, but where did the hydrogen come from? You don't pump it out of the ground like oil. You typically use electricity to create hydrogen by electrolysis. How did you make the electricity? There were probably quite a few emissions doing that.
In other words, you need to make hydrogen. It is not an energy source (fuel). It is an energy storage medium (battery). You use energy to create hydrogen, and engines try to recover as much of that energy as they can.

The definition of fuel is "energy storage medium". Gasoline stores energy until it is released through combustion. To create gasoline, crude oil goes through a production process which creates emissions, too.
So the way I see it, gasoline creates emissions in production and combustion. Hydrogen does so only in production, which should make it the preferred fuel for treehuggers.
On the subject of the commercial, I liked the little nod to the old Honda "Cog" commercial with the Rube Goldberg recycling device.
