Video: Canadian Chevette Ice Racing

It's hard to tell if these blokes were inspired by a vintage Chevrolet commercial, or if this is simply a byproduct of Canadian boredom mixed with Canadian beer. Either way, you're watching the Chevette Class at the 2005 Canadian Ice Race Championship - arguably the only race apart from the 24 Hours of LeMons where participants aim to drive Chevettes.

No matter how unloved these rear-drive hatches were, we can't help but think it'd be fun to slide one around a tight ice course like this. Better yet, let's add some more power beforehand - like a turbocharged Ecotec - or an LS9, perhaps?
