Glock’s Toyota Hot on the Heels of Ferrari in Bahrain

timotoyotahl.jpgFormula One’s Ferrari and Toyota teams finished up their last day of testing at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain today, and though Ferraris set the pace, Toyota seemed to be closing the gap.

Brazilian driver Felipe Massa posted the day’s fastest time, finding good pace after a couple of days plagued with problems earlier in the week. After looking at all the posts and articles today, I return here to post. Not so much as I have a comment on this bit of news, but more to point out the state of F-1. "No one else posted here.",that's the state of F-1. I've attended every F-1 race at Indianapolis, many at Montreal and in the past Watkins Glen and was puzzled by the cancellation of the USGP. I now see the problem that Tony George faces, the interest really isn't here in the U.S. Oh, congrats to Toyota, it's early, it's testing and your 2 tenths back. That doesn't mean second place at this point. It's interesting that the article that received the most comments, was one that has no answer. Do people who drive hybrids do so to enhance their image of themselves. How can any of us know the answer to this, or care. But long term diesel is the answer, M-B and VW Blue Tec. 50 mpg and >700 mile range,50 state approval and fuel infrastructure in place. All the rest are akin to old articles in Popular Science, fun to think about dream scenarios that the market place can't support.
