Delphi Shows a Way to Make the iPhone Even Cooler
Just when you thought that love for Apple’s iPhone couldn’t get any stronger, Delphi has revealed a concept that should get everyone fired up.
One of Delphi’s major reveals at CES in Las Vegas this week is new software that allows an iPhone user to check and control vehicle systems remotely. From up to a mile away the phone can team with a Bluetooth-enabled key-fob to operate various systems.

Users will be able to start and warm up their rides on a cold and snowy morning, or perform routine maintenance like checking tire pressure, or oil and fluid levels. The Bluetooth trickery will also be able to alert owners if their car has been broken into.
Though the Delphi system is still very much in the concept phase right now, the company says that if and when they bring the software to market, they would expect it to be available for several kinds of smart phone.
