Delphi Shows Off New Navi System at CES
Tons of auto-related products have already poured out of this year’s International Consumer Electronics Show, but Engadget has found possibly the niftiest and, we daresay, the most practical auto-tech creation.
The Delphi dual-view navigational system – featuring Sirius navigation technology – is designed to keep the driver, well, looking at the road. When out of park, the driver can only see the radio and navigational functions, while the passenger – on the same screen – can watch a flick. And, to ensure the driver can’t lean over and take a peak, Delphi has installed weight sensors in the driver seat that disable the entertainment function.
There’s no word yet whether the system will include headrest or overhead screens to accommodate backseat passengers.
