Tata Exec says Next Gen Nano will Hit Europe in Four Years
While other global automakers are scrambling to develop a Tata Nano rival to sell in markets like India, China, and Russia, Tata is planning to take its inexpensive microcar into Europe.
Head of compact car projects for Tata Motors, Girish Wagh, has told German magazine Focus that the Indian company has plans to bring its Nano to Europe in four years. Said Wagh, "We will develop a successor model in four years time, which will meet the Euro 5 emission regulations and the crash standards in Europe.

It is ugly and cheap, but is affordable for all those poor immigrants moving into Europe, so should sell well

If they improve the Nano, they can definitely bring it to more developed countries. And I think that 4 years is tons of time to do that. But how in the world are they going to get nearly 80 mpg out of that? Add pedals and remove two cylinders?

3 cylinder turbo diesel could do it
