2007 L.A. Auto Show: The Mazda Design Challenge Takes on New Life

We’ve been following the Mazda Design Challenge, from its initial call for talent in the Facebook community, to the announcement of the winning entry, all the way to California where, in the corridors of the L.A. Auto Show, a new concept car is being born.

This live gallery gives us a look at a part of the concept design process that most of us never get a chance to see, as Mazda North America director of design Franz von Holzhausen and contest winner Mallory McMorrow work on shaping the 2018 Mazda3 concept in clay.

Like what you see of the early modeling process? Let us hear about it in comments.
