‘08 NAIAS: Dodge Zeo Concept is Shockingly Attractive

Dodge Zeo Concept

We've got bad news for those who're in love with Dodge's all-electric Zeo concept. Like all three of Chrysler's concepts at the Detroit show this year, there are no plans for production for the slinky four-place coupe.

That's a shame, for as good as the Zeo looks in pictures, it looks even better in person. Yes, there's a blatant pattern between its exterior form and that of the Mazda RX-8 (we're also seeing a wee bit of Crossfire in the rear fascia), but the car looks fresh, sharp, and would be a great addendum to the Dodge lineup. Who needs an Avenger when you could buy this?

That said, Chrysler said the concepts themselves weren't intended for production, but could such a sports-tourer be in the pipeline? If so, company representatives aren't saying. Although we know the company has a pretty good track record for turning sweet concepts into production, recent financial woes may interrupt that pattern - and from what we've seen of the Zeo, at a truly unfortunate time.
