eBay Auction of the Day: 1968 Chevrolet El Camino Project

In honor of yesterday’s Question of the Day, we’re featuring a fun project that’s currently on the digital auction block.
The El Camino is certainly one of the most interesting vehicles on the road, and this El Camino looks like a solid start to a restoration or resto-mod. With features like power disc brakes, power steering, a running engine, and a functional transmission, there’s a lot going for this project.
Make no mistake, this beast is far from street legal or roadworthy, but that’s the point of a project car, right? Anyway, the reserve is claimed to be $2500.00 and you’ve got about three days to place your bids.

Ducati Minor
El Caminos have, sadly, never had the value Impalas and Chevelles have. As such, El Camino pickups from the middle 1960s and onward are about a dime a dozen--unless you have a genuine SS or a model equipped with a big-block motor. I'm sure there's a good all-around 1960s El Camino with a 327 or 350 cu. in. V-8 for $5,000 or best offer on Collector Car Trader Online.

[...] really amazing part is that the $19K wasn’t the result of a hot and heavy round of eBaying, it was the “buy it now
