The price is relative. It's one part exclusivity and one part the knowledge that the cars are built by Pratt & Miller.
Is a Pratt & Miller car worth more than a ZR-1? I think there are enough people out there who would say: ABSOLUTELY.

Why buy this car at all? Sure, it's fast as stink, but I just don't get why anyone would actually want an 8.2 liter engine, much less need one. The problem is that these cars are trying to be everything, and I'd much rather spend my money on a real track car (plus tow vehicle and trailer) and keep the Z-06 for street use if I felt compelled to be able to drive from stoplight to stoplight faster than the next guy, unless, of course, you happen to be next to the 8.2 liter Pratt&Miller version, in which case, just give the guy a thumb's up and put your ego back in the glove compartment.

Why buy this when you can get the ZR1? That comes with a warranty and factory R&D dollars.

i would never donate a car to get another car, i would feel bad. as mena said "Why buy this when you can get the ZR1?". adding to the factory warranty, the ZR1 is expected to have more power with a lower price, as well you don't need to sacrafice your vette for it. what does pratt and miller gonna do with the donated vette, turn it into a C6RS then sell it????!!!

I would buy into Pratt & Miller's spin if this was a race-spec reworking of a factory coupe. But the ragtop thrown in, this is about a legit in race cred as the RS4 cabrio. Still, this is a lot better than the ten new half-assed tuner Mustangs that come out each month.
