Camoflaged Lamborghini Gallardo is Ideal Ski Vehicle for Skier Jon Olsson

Jon Olsson’s Ski Gallardo

At first, we thought this was yet another way for Lamborghini to incorporate military cues into its cars, although the ski-box did make us wonder if it was a prototype for a revival of the "Rambo Lambo." We've come to find out it's neither, but the personal - and decidedly awesome - transportation of one Jon Olsson, a Swedish professional skier hailing from Monaco.

That helps to explain why the car wears an arctic camouflaged paint scheme and a giant box on it's roof. Sure, the Gallardo may be more reliable than some vintage Lambos, but there's no good way to fit a pair of Head brand skis and poles without smashing out a window or taking a sawzall to a roof panel. The box may look out of place on the comely supercar, but trust us - it's better than making it look like a botched LeMons contender.

The purists can argue below whether or not fitting such an appendage to a Gallardo counts as heresy, but there's no arguing it's a ferocious and fast way for Olsson to blast his way to a ski slope and back again. Besides, if Roger Moore's James Bond can strap skiis to a Lotus Esprit, we dare say Olsson can do the same with his Lambo.

That is just all kinds of awesome. I wonder what tires he runs on that thing, though?

OOOH...I think we've got KITT's new adversary!

Steve

That's hot.

I hope the Camo is just one of those Temporary Car wraps. The ski box is fine. The Camo not so much.

Jonathan Fung

Interesting. The camo seems to draw attention away from that protruding ski box which would otherwise seem very awkward. I think he did a good job with it, although I'm sure a Cayenne GTS would have been a much cleaner looking option.

Jonathan Fung: Cayenne is NEVER a cleaner looking option! ;)
